How we picked and checked these tools.
AI recommendation tracking means checking whether AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews name your brand when a buyer asks what to use. It is a different job from monitoring a product recommendation engine, which is what "AI recommendations" meant until recently.
We asked Gemini two versions of this question once a day for nine days, one from a marketer and one from a marketing manager. Across 17 answers it named 53 different businesses, many of them general marketing suites and personalization platforms. This list keeps the tools that do the job the question asks about.
Each price and allowance below comes from the vendor's own pricing page, read on 26 September 2026. The table says "Not listed" where a page does not state something. Prices in this category change often, so check the linked page before you buy.
outrankfast is on the list. It is our product, and it is held to the same rules as the others.

outrankfast's Watch plan costs $49 a month for 15 prompts checked daily on Gemini, grounded with Google Search. It measures one engine, which makes it narrower than most of this list. It adds the record behind each number: the full answer, the searches Gemini ran and the pages it cited, kept with each run, plus MCP access for your coding agent on all paid plans. How to choose between them.
Five questions settle most of it.
- Which assistants do your buyers use? Pay for those engines. Coverage of an engine nobody in your market uses adds nothing.
- How often does it check? A daily check on 15 prompts gives 105 answers a week. A weekly check on 50 prompts gives 50.
- Can you read the answer behind the number? A mention count you cannot open is hard to trust and harder to act on.
- Does it tell you what to write? Tracking shows where you are missing. The next step is the page that answers the question, and some tools stop before it.
- Do you build with a coding agent? If your site lives in a repository and Claude Code or Cursor writes its pages, MCP access lets the agent read the data directly.
Where outrankfast fits.
outrankfast is for a business that wants to know, day by day, whether Gemini names it on the questions its buyers ask, and wants the page that would change the answer. It measures one engine. If you need ChatGPT or Perplexity covered today, the tools above cover more.
It keeps the full answer, the searches and the cited pages behind each result, so you can check any number yourself. On Grow it drafts the page for each prompt where a competitor was named, as markdown for you or your coding agent to put on your site. The same questions run again the next day, so you can see whether the page changed who gets named.
